Student Testimonials
Speech and Debate has taught me not only speaking skills, but social skills as well. The amount of people I’ve met, competed alongside or against have all been opportunities to put myself out there. This extracurricular has made me grow as a person even outside of the activity
Haider Al-Ali, Class of 2024
Before Speech & Debate, I was terrified of public speaking. Just the thought of standing before a group of people made me extremely anxious. Joining the debate team changed all of that. Now, I have confidence in my speaking abilities & can give speeches in front of large crowds with no problems!
Haleema Bawany, Class of 2025
Joining Speech and Debate has equipped me to navigate our world full of logical fallacies and baseless claims with informed confidence. From YouTube comment sections to US Senate hearings, I’ve learned to approach all arguments with a critical eye.
