It depends! Speech and debate can be a lot of work, but only if you decide to invest a lot of time in the activity. It's up to you!

Does Speech & Debate look good on my college resume?

Yes! Speech and debate is an excellent activity to put on your college resume. Studies have shown that speech and debate increases college acceptance more than most other extracurriculars, and the analytical skills learned through debate helps increase your GPA, SAT and ACT scores.

That's fine! One of the main goals of speech and debate is to help improve public speaking skills. We have had many team members start out shy or scared of public speaking and went on to be very successful in speech and debate.
